Every Sunday, from 6 PM to 8 PM, a diner opens in Sussex County unlike any other. Not only does it serve the usual: burgers, sunny side up eggs, peach cobbler, etc, but its menu consists of the greatest in doo-wop music and streetcorner harmony history. Featuring a vast array of doo-wops from different groups and from across the world, Dennis's Doo-Wop Diner is the brainchild of Dennis Sema, an SCCC graduate and lifelong fan of doo-wop music and oldies of all kinds.

The Young Blood

Dennis Sema was born on June 10th, 2001, and came from the vibrant suburbs of northwestern New Jersey. Despite his young age, ever since he can remember, he has always had a special love for doo-wop music for many reasons, including where it came from.

In the 1950s and the first half of the '60s, doo-wop music dominated just about every street corner in New Jersey, the state where much of doo-wop music originated.

Apart from growing up in arguably doo-wop's main hotspot, Dennis fell in love with the haunting, idyllic sounds and themes that exist in doo-wop music, ranging from innocent love to starry dreamy summer nights that seem to only exist in the past.

As a result, Dennis Sema joined WRSK to help keep doo-wop and classic music alive in hopes to introduce his generation, and those younger, to the timeless tunes of yesteryear.

The Film Director

Besides hosting 'Dennis's Doo-Wop Diner' on WRSK every 6 PM to 8 PM each Sunday evening, Dennis is an up-and-coming film director who has directed six short films, with several more and even a feature-film in the works.

Outside of filmmaking, Dennis is also a writer who is currently writing 4 books (one of which is a poetry collection dedicated to his wife, a jazz singer), and also has plans to write several novels over the next decade.

Dennis also currently runs a rapidly growing YouTube channel, simply titled "Dennis Sema," where he consistently posts videos about what he is interested in.

Recently, Dennis joined the team at BarnLight Studios, a film studio that recently launched in Sussex County.
