Tony Dee, the founder and mastermind of WRSK Cruzin' Oldies 97.5, has done it all. Not only was he a Chief Engineer at iHeartMedia for 15 years, but he has also held high-level positions in the broadcasting industry for decades, including such ranks as "Chief Operator" and "Project Manager" at several radio stations and organizations.

Today, Tony Dee is both the Program Director of Broadcasting at the Sussex County Community College in Newton, NJ and the head of WRSK-LP 97.5 FM, the college's flagship radio station.

Promising Beginnings

Before starting and building WRSK, Tony started in radio in 1976 at the age of 21 after graduating from the School of Broadcasting and Announcing in NYC. His first job was at WFMV 106.3 FM in Blairstown as a weekend DJ playing solid gold oldies. He also did news on the station's sister station in Washington, NJ: WCRV 1580 AM.

Tony also joined his hometown local station WCTC 1450 AM in New Brunswick in the summer of 1976 working PT for 18 years playing oldies and doing news and also using his engineering skills in building a brand new broadcast facility with the stations chief engineer when WCTC moved from the city of New Brunswick to Somerset NJ. In between all of this, Tony was also a RF technician FT for Siemens Electronics in Somerset, NJ.

The Big Break & WRSK

Tony’s big break came in 1988 when he went to the big apple, NYC and worked for WEVD 97.9 FM later to become 1050 AM as a big band DJ for 13 years. Tony says it was the best time of his radio career. The career ended in 2001 when the station was sold to ESPN radio. Tony stood in NYC for a few more years as Chief engineer of WMCA 570 radio and assistant engineer for the WBBR 1130 Bloomberg Radio. Tony also spent a lot of time at the Empire State Building with an engineering firm called DSI RF Systems.

Today, Tony Dee is the head of WRSK, and will continue to pour nothing but love and energy into the WRSK-LP Cruzin' Oldies 97.5 station. His iconic voice can be heard on Tony Dee's Midday Sock-Hop, Big Band Sunday Night with Tony Dee, and Tony Dee's Polka Express. â€‹
